Obituary of Austin Edward Rumbolt

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Austin Edward Rumbolt announce his passing on Thursday, May 11th, 2023, at the Labrador Health Centre, Happy Valley – Goose Bay, NL, in his 72nd year.

 

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife: Sherri; children: Francis (Mildred), Sheldon (Olive), Melissa (Keith), Justin, Cory (Lola), Katie, and Elaine; 27 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

 

Austin was predeceased by his father: Emanuel Rumbolt; mother: Ellen Poole; stepfather: Leander Poole; sister: Elizabeth Poole, and his brother: Kevin Poole.

 

A visitation service is scheduled to take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Happy Valley – Goose Bay, NL, on Monday, May 15th, 2023, from the hours of 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.

 

As per Austins wishes, cremation will follow the visitation services.

 

A memorial service is scheduled to take place at St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Happy Valley - Goose Bay, NL, on Friday, May 19th, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Amber Tremblett officiating. 

 

In lieu of flowers, donations in Austin's memory, may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
