Burgeo, NL

 

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our dear sister/aunt, Sylvia Dora Strickland on Thursday, May 11, 2023 in Burgeo.

She leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories her sisters: Eileen (Boyd) and Bonnie (Todd); her brothers: Corey (Jill) and Mark (Maisie Lee); her nephews: B.J. and Colby; nieces: Brittany, Jennifer, Paige and Addison.

Sylvia is now reunited with her parents Freeman and Elsie Strickland. She leaves behind a large circle of aunts, uncles and extended family.

Cremation has taken place. She will be resting at her sister’s home, there will be no church service, but family can visit on Saturday, May 20 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.

Burial to take place at a later date.
