It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hubert Francis Blanchard announce his passing on Monday, May 15, 2023, at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL, at the age of 76 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his loving wife Patricia; siblings: Gilbert (Marie), Elwood (Lorena), Horace (Dale), Margaret (Robin), Derrick, and Donnie (Rod); his two special girls, Claire and Nicole, who he loved very much; and his fur-buddy Rudy, as well as a large circle of extended family and friends. Hubert was predeceased by his parents: Curtis and Regina Blanchard and his brother: Bernard (Helen).

Hubert will be fondly remembered for his kindness and generosity, as well as his love for the outdoors, going fishing, and spending time at his cabin. He will always be remembered by those whose lives he touched.

As per the families wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023, from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9pm from St. James Anglican Church in Gillam’s. The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 19, at 2:00pm from St. James Anglican Church in Gillam’s with Rev. George Critchell officiating.
