Woodrow Wilson Gilley
May 30, 1940 – May 18, 2023

It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Woodrow Wilson Gilley announce his passing on May 18, 2023, at the age of 82 years.

He leaves to mourn his wife of 60 years, Sheila; children Woodrow Gilley Jr., Wanda (Glenn) McFarlane, and Wayne Gilley; grandchildren Geena Leigh, Ryan, and Arianna; great grandchild Logan; brother Stephen (Evelyn) Gilley; sister-in-law Caroline (Jerry) Smith; brothers-in-law Harry Hinks, and Roderick (Lisa) Hinks; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Woodrow was predeceased by his parents Stephen and Jenny Gilley; brothers Jim (Theresa) Gilley, John (Florence) Gilley, and Reuben Gilley; sisters Margaret (Roy) Corbin, and Marina (Leonard Regular) Pinksen.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake on Friday, May 19, 2023, 7-9 pm. A funeral service will take place at St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church, 21 Farm Road, Deer Lake on Saturday, May 20, 2023, beginning at 10 am with Rev. Canon Jeffrey Petten officiating. Interment will follow at the Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery on Wights Road.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Woodrow to St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church.
