Obituary of Lucretia Ann (Baikie) Hennebury

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lucretia Ann (Baikie) Hennebury announce her passing on Tuesday, May 16th, 2023, in St. John’s, NL, at the age of 79 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband of 57 years: Frank Sr.; Children Greg (Lynn),Jason (Sharon), Jerry. Grandchildren, Marc, Adam (Collette), Chloe, Sydney, Marco, Mattie, James, Connor (Josie), Cameron. Great grandchildren: Sienna, Henry, Gwen. Siblings: Treadway (June), Allan-Dimp (Janet), twin sister: Katherine, Daphne (Ches), Ruby, Gertrude. Also leaving to mourn are many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
She was predeceased by her father, Wilfred Baikie; mother, Emmie (Baikie) Percey; stepfather: Cyril Percey; son: Frank Jr; and her brother-in-law, Regional Pottle.
Lucretia will be remembered for her devotion to family and her love for Labrador. She was kind, compassionate and sweet, there was always love in her heart and a smile on her face. Forever loved and missed.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to St. Luke’s staff for all the love and care during Lucretia’s stay, especially the staff of the Pleasant View Terrace Unit.
Also, thanks to all who took the time to show compassion to our family at this time.
There will be a small service in the Chapel at St Luke’s Home on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at. 2:00pm
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 5th, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the North West River United Church. Officiated by Rev. Julie Brace. Interment to follow at the cemtery.
A reception will follow the memorial service at the North West River Community Centre. All are welcomed to attend.
As expressions of sympathy, donations in Lucretia’s memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Society of NL, or Alzheimer’s research Canada.
