Obituary of Mildred Gladys Pottle

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mildred Gladys Pottle announce her passing on May 19, 2023.

She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by loving husband, Sam.

She will also be sadly missed by children: Darlene (Gerard), Robin and Jamie (Daisy); step-children: Cassidy (Carmen), Robin (Rachel), Warren (Sherry), Robert (Stephanie) and Chesley; Foster children: Silas, James, Daniel, Jefta and Joseph; grandchildren: Julie, Adara, Cassandra, Katelin, Kirsten, Jeremy, Debbie, Leah and Micah; siblings: Philip (Joan), Avis (Jack), Clifford (Erma), Ronald, Christine (Brian), Beatrice, Doreen (Mark), sister-in-law, Edna, her friends at Long Term Care in Happy Valley-Goose Bay and a large circle of loved ones.

She is predeceased by parents Viola Height and Oliver Bull and stepfather, William Height, as well as a number of other family and friends.

Visitation will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home in Happy Valley-Goose Bay on Sunday, May 21, 2023, from 2 pm to 4 pm for family and from 7 pm to 9 pm for the public.

The funeral service will be held at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church in Happy Valley-Goose Bay on Monday, May 22, 2023, at 2 pm.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff of LTC in Happy Valley-Goose Bay for all the love and care they provided to Gladys and to the Helping Hands Committee for the joy they brought to her and Sam.

As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Gladys to the Long-Term Care Helping Hands Committee.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.  Revelation 21:4
