He was born in Stephenville NL on August 6, 1951 and in 1966 moved with his family to Labrador City, NL. He worked with the Iron Ore Company of Canada for a number of years before moving to the north coast of Labrador where he worked as a heavy equipment operator at the airport in Davis Inlet. They then moved to North West River where Pitt taught school at Sheshatshiu and Ab worked as a paramedic. They later married and created beautiful memories together while enjoying many trips to various parts of the world.
