Obituary of Alban Hugh Bruce

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved brother Alban (Ab) Bruce, on May 26, 2023 in Goose Bay NL. 

Alban is survived and cherished by his 6 siblings Don (Delores), Bob (Christine), Joan Foley (Tom), Jerry (Karen), Bill (Joy), and Marie Critch (Jeff). His memory will also live on with his many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. 

Alban was predeceased by his loving wife Epitacia Alonte (Pitt) 2021, his father Richard, and his mother Elizabeth Isabel. 

He was born in Stephenville NL on August 6, 1951 and in 1966 moved with his family to Labrador City, NL. He worked with the Iron Ore Company of Canada for a number of years before moving to the north coast of Labrador where he worked as a heavy equipment operator at the airport in Davis Inlet. It was there that he met the love of his life, Pitt, who worked as a school teacher in Davis Inlet/ Natuashish. They then moved to North West River where Pitt taught school at Sheshatshiu and Ab worked as a paramedic. They later married and created beautiful memories together while enjoying many trips to various parts of the world. After retirement Ab spent many years volunteering and helping others in the community. 

Cremation has taken place at Ab's request.

There will be no formal services at this time.
