July 31, 1939 – June 1, 2023

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lawrence (Larry) Barry announce his passing at 6:30 AM on June 1, 2023 at Western Memorial Hospital in his 84^th year.  Larry loved fishing, his tickets and was a skilled pool shark. He loved his trails and his friendships.   He leaves behind his family of five children, Larry, Charlotte, Rosanne and two more daughters; as well as the love of his life, Cathy Barry of 34 years and their two daughters, Kelly-Lynn (Alex) and Sharon; and son Paul; three grandchildren, Hannah, Kerry and Travis; two great grandkids, Kolson and Alayna, along with great friends.  Larry leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter no one could match, and above all, loved his family.

You can shed tears that he is gone, or you can smile because he has lived

You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back

Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left.

Your heart can be empty because you can’t see him

Or you can be full of the love that you shared

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday

Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday

                                                                                                           You can remember him and only that he is gone

Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on

You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back

Or you can do what he would want:

smile, open your eyes, and our love will go on!
