Obituary of Lily Maude Hancock (Roberts)

Lily Maude Roberts

Forteau, NL

Age 93, passed peacefully away on June 6^th, 2023, at the CSSSBCN, in Lourdes du Blanc Sablon, QC. She was born in Forteau Bay, on July 12th, 1929.  She was the daughter of Wilhelmina Hancock (Butt) and Joseph Hancock.

She was predeceased by her husband Reginald Roberts (Forteau Bay), Grandsons Ronnie Etheridge and Alvin Hobbs, sister Harriett Anne Paul, brothers Harold and Henry Hancock.

She is leaving to mourn her three daughters: Diane (Uren), Paulette (Bill), Alice (Jim). Grandchildren: Marilyn (Glen), Marty (Colinda), Alvin (Nicole), Rosanne, Sherri-Lee (Freeman), Paige (Geoffrey) and Kyle.  Great grandchildren: Michaela (Philip), Keshia, Mark, Trisha, Noah, Kyla (Patrick), Stacey, Murray, Crystal, Lucas, Sam, Brandon, Tristen and Lily.  Great great grandchildren:  Adelaide, Rylie and Greyson.  Also leaving behind her siblings, James Hancock, Graham Hancock, Melvin Hancock and Bernard Hancock.  Along with a large circle of friends and family. Lily retired in the early 90’s as a domestic worker from Labrador Grenfell Mission after working for 21 years.  She spent the rest of her golden years visiting family, friends and adoring her grandchildren. 

We would like to thank the CSSSSBCN Nursing staff for their compassionate care during her final years.  A visitation will take place Wednesday, June 7^th, 2023 at the St. Peter’s Anglican Church from 7-9 PM. Following the funeral service that will take place on Friday, June 9th , 2023 at  11 AM.
