Obituary of Ryan Stewart
Ryan David Lloyd Stewart
August 23, 1985 - June 9, 2023
“We Were Always Daddy’s Angels and Now He Will Be Ours”
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Ryan David Lloyd Stewart announce his tragic passing on Friday, June 9, 2023 at the young age of 37 years in Corner Brook, Newfoundland.
Leaving to mourn him are his beautiful wife Kayla and their three precious girls Avery, Charlotte and Kate. Alongside them, with broken hearts are his father David (Laura), mother Darlene (Don), sisters Jodine (Stephen) and Natasha (Mark), nephews James, Jack, Randy and Thomas; mother and father-in-law Linda and Larry Edmonds, sister-in-law Chantelle (Jon); grandparents Lottie and Norman Childs, Anita Stewart and Eileen Companion. Aunts and uncles Ivy (Morris), Donna (Monte), Elaine (Reg), Barb (Danny), Pat (Charlie), Edie (Keith), Angie (Peter) and Bill; and a large extended circle of family and friends which include the Companion Family, who has loved him like their own as long as they have known him. Ryan was predeceased by his grandfather William Stewart, Uncle Lyndon Childs and good friend Grant Sheppard.
Having found each other as young teens, Ryan and Kayla have spent more than twenty years together building a life and family that they deeply loved. Ryan was first and foremost a wonderful family man who always had a smile at the ready, and it never shone brighter than when he saw his amazing girls Avery, Charlotte and Kate. To say that they were his everything is indeed an understatement. Ryan was also an amazing family member and friend to so many; always ready to lend a helping hand with an absolute heart of gold. You couldn’t know Ryan without remembering a time when he made you laugh with one of his wild stories or quick wit. His storytelling was captivating and his laugh was nothing short of infectious. To everyone who knew him, he just had a general passion for life. He was always game for fishing, hunting and a trip to the great outdoors; ready to head to the river for salmon fishing or to the woods on the hunt for the perfect moose, often with one or more of his girls in tow.
Family, friends and community have suffered a great loss with Ryan’s passing. As it should, the sun shines a little less bright today…
