At the age of 87 Catherine (Kay) Bolger of Bonne Bay, NL passed away peacefully on Monday, June 12, 2023, at the Health Science Center in St. John’s, NL. Kay was predeceased by the love of her life, husband of 50 years, Michael James Bolger, grandsons Jason and Kenneth, sisters Gertie, Anita, Mona and Olive, brother Samuel and parents George and Lilian Parsons.

She will be lovingly remembered by children Veronica (Don), Rita, Barbra (Ed), Grace (Robert), George (Wendy), Celina, Merrill (Donna), Malcolm (Linda); grandchildren: Jamie, Jennifer, Charlene, Crystal, Lucas, Derek, Megan, Morgan, Kyle, Ashley, Tara, Cailee, Dominic, Amber, Desire, Summer, Dustin, Justin, and Tori and 17 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings: Gloria (Roll), Verna (Ronnie), Susie (Alex), Norman (Bride) and Cordell.

Kay spent her last few years at Admiral’s Coast Retirement Centre where she made fond memories. She enjoyed her time there and loved all the residents, especially her dear friend Andy and Molly her hairdresser.

She will be dearly missed by her friends Gertie and family, and Paula and Ed Kelly who lovingly doted on her and treated her like family.

We would also like to thank the staff at 4 South B for the unconditional care they provided to our mom in her last few days.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at Our Lady of Labrador church in West St Modest on Friday, June 16, 2023, from 6 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 1030am. As an expression of sympathy, donations can be made to a charity of ones choosing in her honour.
