Kevin Foley, a simple man with many joys in life. He loved his children, his sixteen grandchildren and his one great grandchild. He lent a helping hand in building his community with various groups such as the Knights of Columbus and the All Hallows Parish Council.
He worked with CN until 1995 and retired after 33 years. After retirement he found great enjoyment in carpentry, woodworking and spending time with his family. You could usually find him sitting on his front deck chatting with Wayne and Renee and whomever joined him or passed by. He enjoyed trips to visit his family and spending time with his wife Daphne.
A visit to 20 Peddles Lane would guarantee you a cup of tea and a lunch but more importantly great conversation and laughter. Kev’s impact on his family was deep and although he wasn’t great with directions his moral compass was steadfast and solid and he instilled that in his children.
Kev was born and raised on Peddles Lane and then raised his family there. He was a constant figure on the hill where he knew everyone and watched many families grow. He left his mark on anyone who crossed his path and lent a helping hand to those in need along the way. With the love of his life Daphne they created a world of love and encouragement.
In the words of his dear friend Dave Ryan “Kev Foley is a man among giants!”
We will miss him deeply.
The Foley Family.
