Obituary of Mandy Jane Mugford

We are extremely sad to announce that on Saturday, July 15th, 2023, at the age of 42, our beloved partner, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt,  passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Born April 2, 1981, in Happy Valley Goose Bay, Mandy was the youngest of 5 girls. She met her partner, Jeffrey, in 2003 and later started their family. In November 2013, Mandy gave birth to a beautiful baby boy who became her entire life. Mandy had a love for the outdoors and adventures. She loved all special occasions and always outdid herself for all the kiddies. She also had an amazing talent for singing and guitar playing with the voice of an angel.

Mandy joins her family in heaven - sister Melinda, father Philip, Mother-in-law, Ruth and Father-in-law Louie, grandmother Florence and grandfathers Thomas and Kenneth.

Mandy is much loved by her partner of 20 years, Jeffrey, and her son Maddox. Mandy is cherished by Mother Marilyn Mugford, Brother Deon Bushey, Sisters Melissa Mugford, Myrna Gillam(Dion) and Michelle Mugford. In-laws-Diane Montague (Phil Goudie), Peggy Montague (Dave Boland), Brent Montague(Liz), Janice Montague (Floyd Cabot), Terry Montague. Mandy is deeply cared for by many extended family, including nieces and nephews and friends.
Special thanks to the staff of the long-term care, home support workers and nurses, especially Liz Dawson and Dr Joanne McGee for your kind and caring support during her final days.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of life will take place at the Masonic Lodge on Monday July 17th from 4-6 pm for family and close friends.
