Done Roving

In the Humber Valley, where the mighty river flows,
My life’s tale unfolded, as love began to grow.
As I embraced marriage, my heart filled with glee,
My heart would forever belong to the beauty who captured me

Fortune smiled upon me, a job secure,
With Caterpillar, Newfoundland's allure.
From Pasadena to Corner Brook, each day,
Through Humber Valley, I'd joyfully make my way

The scenery, oh, so captivating and grand, Nature's artwork, painted across the land.
As seasons approached, I’d whisper in delight, "Watch the trees bud and leaves take flight."

The first signs of life, so healthy and fair,
Like my love’s gaze upon me, a gentle, loving stare.
Standing in the beauty of a perfect day,
Yet some days, rainstorms would have their say.

A glittering shower, a hundred rhinestones' gleam,
Nature's treasures, a mesmerizing dream.
And then, as I journeyed along the river's glide,
Frost-kissed trees adorned the scenic drive.

Excitement coursed through each moment's thrill,
A symphony of sights, a heart that couldn't be still.
Days at work, brimming with joy and cheer,
Each evening a feast, a happy day's dinner near.

In Humber's embrace, a tale was spun,
Of love and labor, of riverside fun.
Much roving through life's delightful display,
The Humber’s enchantment, forever to stay.
