Obituary of Edmund John Rose

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Edmund John Rose, of Happy Valley Goose Bay, NL, who was taken too soon on July 25th, 2023, at the age of 50 years.
Edmund was born to Wallace and Delilah Rose of L’Anse Au Loup, on December 22, 1972. As a young man, he found a passion for working with heavy equipment, a love for living the Labrador lifestyle, and above all an ability to find fun and adventure in everything he did.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 23 years Roxanne, son Joshua (Kelly), daughter Hannah, and little buddy Lucky; mother Delilah, parents-in-law Gus & Florence Green; brothers Owen (Melissa), Tyson (Stephanie), Howie; sisters Veronica (Peter), Nicole (Bradley), Calla (Ala), Merina, Michelle (Dave); nieces & nephews Luanne (Johnathan), RJ (Kara), Colton, Zachary (Jasmin), Keisha, Kaleigh, Brady, Isabella, Ella, Jaxynn, Mackinley and Zane; great niece Sara, and great-nephews Milo and Malachi.
Edmund had a spirit for life that was deep-rooted in his family, friends and touched the hearts of all who were lucky enough to have known him. In his 50 years, he had worked tirelessly to provide a good home and life to his family.
Visitation will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church on Saturday, July 29th, 2023, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and also on Sunday, July 30th, 2023, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Family and Friends Service will take place from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
A funeral service will be held at St. Paul's Anglican Church on Monday,July 31st, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Verna Legge of St. Paul’s officiating. Burial will follow at the L’Anse Au Loup Cemetery.
Edmund is predeceased by his Father Wallace Rose, brother Roger Normore; grandparents Thomas & Mary Normore and Leonard and Rosanna Rose.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the HV-GB Ground Search & Rescue.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Churchill Falls Emergency Response Team and Fillatre’s for their compassion and support and to anyone who have helped in anyway during this difficult time.
