It is with great sadness that the family of the late Roger Miller announce his peaceful passing on Wednesday, August 9th, 2023, at the age of 61 at the Corner Brook Palliative Care Unit surrounded by all of his family. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 35 years, Lisa (nee Colbourne). He will be dearly missed by his daughter Laura (Tim) Churchill, son Andrew (Lauren Blake), and precious grandson, Noah. Also mourning his loss are his mother, Emma Miller, and mother-in-law, Maureen Colbourne; sisters Christine Ryan, Sheila (Shawn) Perry, Irene (Ross) Woodworth; brothers-in-law Fred (Aune) Colbourne, Barry (Joan) Colbourne; grand puppies Stuart and Beyla, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.
Roger is predeceased by his father Sidney Miller and father-in-law Fred Colbourne.
Roger was known by most as the Corner Brook milkman. He started his career in his teens working on the milk truck with his Dad and continued as a distributor with Brookfield for nearly 40 years. In recent years, Roger took on a retirement job with D&D Sales where he considered his co-workers to be like family.
Roger was first and foremost a family man. He loved spending his weekends with family either at the cabin in Head’s Harbour, hunting at Sheffield Lake, or bbqing on the deck.
The family would like to thank all the staff and physicians of Western and Eastern Health and the Palliative Care Unit for their exceptional and compassionate care. Flowers graciously accepted, or donations may be made in Roger’s memory to Western Regional Hospital Foundation. westernhealth.nl.ca
