Obituary of Helena Cochrane

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Helena Mary Cochrane (Carew) announce her passing on Friday, August 11 at the age of 76.  Leaving to mourn with loving memories are her children; Kenny (Annette), Sharon (Harry), and Eddy; her stepchildren, Dana (Wilfred) and Jason (Alex); her grandchildren whom she loved so dearly, Andrew, Paige, Rowan, Harry Jr, and Hannah; and great grandchildren, Gemma and Hunter; brothers, David, Dan, and Leonard; and sister Bernadette (Bunny).  Helena was predeceased by her partner Phil, ex-husband Ed, twin baby girls, her parents Bridget and Henry Carew and, and her other siblings.

Special thank you to Dr. Tompkins and his cancer care team, Dr Whelan, Zena and Julia from LG Health Home Care for their excellent care and compassion, and to Bunny for always being there.

Lena suffered through two difficult bouts of cancer and is now at rest with her mother and father.  She was a special person who was always there for her family, was selfless, hardworking, caring, and will continue to be a source of inspiration to those close to her.

Cremation has taken place and a private gathering will be held at a later date.
