Obituary of Isaiah Andrew

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Isaiah Zach Andrew announce his passing on August 10, 2023, at a private residence in Sheshatshiu, NL at the age of 26 years.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his common-law spouse: Manianish Abraham; his children: Axel, Derek and Theodore; his mother: Brenda Andrew; his brothers: Matthew (Philomena), Benoit (Daphne), Eric, Shuashem (Melissa) and George; his sisters: Kimberly (John), Caroline, Ashley (Penote); a large circle of close friends including: Alex Penashue, Mikun Rich, Shukapesh Rich, Clinton Rich, Isiah Piwas and Maniaten Andrew; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.

Isaiah was predeceased by his father: Eric Penunsi; his unborn child; grandparents: Edward and Caroline Andrew and Sebastian and Philomena Penunsi.

The family would like to thank the Sheshatshiu Band, Innu Nation and all the people that have brought food for their kindness during this most difficult time.

A visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Happy Valley- Goose Bay, NL on Tuesday, August 15^th, 2023, from 7:00-9:00 pm. Visitation will also take place at Brenda’s home, 42 Edwards Drive, Sheshatshiu, NL on Wednesday, August 16^th, 2023 starting at 6:00 pm.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 17^th, 2023, at 11:00 am, at Tshitshitua Shushep church in Sheshatshiu, NL with Father Joe officiating.
