Anthony (Tony) Joseph Caines
January 17, 1959 – August 15, 2023

With profound sadness, the family of Anthony (Tony) Joseph Caines announce his peaceful passing on August 15, 2023, after a brief battle with cancer.

Leaving to mourn his daughter, Joanne (Nigel Brake) and family. Brothers, Gerry (Helen), Junior, Glenn (Beverly) and Kevin (Marie).

Sisters, Marie (Bob Walsh) and Barbara (Guy Bowles). Sister-in-Law Carol.

Predeceased by his immediate family, parents Augustus (Gus) Senior and Alice and Brother, Gary.

Tony will also be fondly remembered by a large extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and life-long friends. Special mention of his cousin Laura who he shared a sisterly bond with.

Gratitude to his homecare worker, Nancy, for the ongoing loving support with his health challenges.

The doctors and nurses of the palliative care unit are angels on earth for the exceptional level of care provided to him during his journey. We felt your love and compassion. Thank you!

A memorial service lead by his daughter for family and friends will be held at 4 PM on Friday, August 18, 2023, at Fillatres Funeral Home in Deer Lake.
