It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear brother, Wayne Duhart on Saturday, August 19, 2023. Wayne was born and grew up in Corner Brook, then moved to Toronto when he was 19. Upon retirement, Wayne Moved back to his beloved Newfoundland and resettled in Corner Brook. He enjoyed listening to his extensive music collection, berry picking, the library and spending time with his family. Wayne was truly a loving and kind man, but most of all, he will be remembered for his quick wit and ability to make people laugh. He leaves an unfillable gap in the hearts of his loved ones.

Wayne is survived by his sisters: Myra Andeson (Neil MacArthur), Ona Randall (Ian Robertson), Doris Gaudon-Gurski; his brother Tony Duhart (Joanne) and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Wayne was predeceased by his parents Mary and Hubert Duhart, his sister Brenda and brother Darryl.

Cremation has taken place. A prayer service will be held on Wednesday, August 23 at 2:00 p.m. from Fillatre’s Funeral Chapel, St. Mark’s Avenue with Bishop John Corriveau officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
