Andrew “Glenn” West

April 27, 1962 – September 7, 2023

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Slim West announce his passing on Thursday, September 7^th, 2023 at Western Memorial Hospital at the age of 61 years. Leaving to  mourn with fond and loving memories; his wife, Susan (nee Snooks), children: Steven (Melissa), Tina (Simon), Robin (Wayne), Kelly (Nathan) and Eddie (Jess); daughter-in-law Amanda; grandchildren, Abagail, Dylan, Julia, Miake, Danica, Katie, baby Willow on the way, CJ, Kyle, Amber, Nathan, Leah, Emma, Brooklyn, Lucas, Jenna and Jamie; brothers and sister: Greg West, Michelle Barney (Tony) and Jeffrey West (Sally); brothers and sisters-in-law: Dolores, Sadie (Richard), Marie, Jean, Pat (Dan) and Lew; nephews, AJ and Carter Barney; as well as many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He predeceased by his parents, Philip and Ivy West, brothers Barry and Edwin West. 

The family would like to extend a very special Thank You to the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at the Western Memorial Hospital: The Restorative, Rehabilitation and Chemo Unit for the care and compassion shown to our Dad/Husband and to us as a family.  We are so grateful for your kindness.

Granting his wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 12^th from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street. There will be no service.

As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Bay of Islands SPCA.
