It is completely against Jack’s wishes that we make this announcement. Jack passed at the Western Health Palliative Care Home in Corner Brook, NL with his wife and children by his side.

He leaves behind, with broken hearts, his wife Rorie; daughters Taylor (Dylan), Kylie (Colin); son Jacob (Lori); stepdaughter Mya; two beautiful grandchildren Brody and Sierrah and best friend Mike to whom he texted a good morning message to every single day.

Jack lived by the motto “work hard and play harder”; play harder he did. He loved and enjoyed being outdoors on his ATV or snowmobile, famously packing as many of his children and their friends into the camp or onto a machine. Every campfire had to be bigger than the last- and don’t forget the firework shows! 

Jack had a lot of unfinished plans that cancer quickly ripped away from him. Through it all, he kept his sense of humour alive - cracking jokes in an effort to make his illness easier on everyone around him.

Thank-you to all the nurses and doctors who cared for Jack during his journey. The compassion and care was felt during every interaction.

We will be honoring Jack’s request that there be no funeral. There will be a private gathering for family and friends at a later date.
