It is with great sadness that the family of the late Kalvin John Penney announce his passing on Friday, September 15, 2023 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 72 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Andrew (Cheryl), Amanda (Colin), Michelle (Dave) and Matthew; grandchildren: Ava, Margo, Katy, Allison and Lauren; brother Keith; sisters: Elaine (Ted) and Mary; brother-in-law Robert (Norma); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, especially his bowling and pool families. He was predeceased by his wife Barbara Jean Penney, parents George and Ivy Penney, sister Elizabeth (Robert) Pike; brother James Penney,  parents-in-law Chesley and Adeline Hicks. Visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Tuesday, September 19 from the hours of 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 20 at 2:00 p.m. from Fillatre’s Funeral Chapel, St. Mark’s Avenue with Rev. Jocelyn Cook officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
