 It is with great sadness the family of the late Shirley Joan Kennedy (Harding) announce her passing at the Palliative Care in Corner Brook on Saturday, September 16,2023 at the age of 81 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her five daughters: Sheila Green (Garland), Wanda Walsh (Keith), Jacqueline Hampton (David), Kimberly Andrews (Terry), Sandra Hamilton (Paul), daughter by choice Cynthia Hepditch (Aiden), 12 Grandchildren: Michael (Tracy), Kerry, Michelle, Robert. Jeffrey (Meagan) Kayla (Marc-Andre), Terri-Lynn, Rebecca, Jonathan (Jennifer), Milton, Matthew (Samantha), Christopher, 12 Great-grandchildren Thomas, Jimmy. Karla, Mercedez, Trae, Quinn, Archer, Landon, Zaria, Rori, Braxton, and Thomas A.; Foster grand-children: Paul (Hailey), Brandon (Belle), sister Bertha Harding, brother Donald Harding (Rosamond), Milton Harding (Judy), Wayne Harding (Gabby), extended family Elsie Burry; sisters in law Marie Kennedy and Bessie Kennedy as well as a large circle of family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Kennedy, her two sons Kerry and Milton; parents George and Loretta Maude Harding, Elizabeth (Stanley) Maynard, Harriett (Adrian) French, Mabel (Fred) Atwood, Thomas (Olive) Harding, George (Edith) Harding, baby Harding. In-laws Joseph and Josephine Kennedy. A Special Thank You to the Staff of the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Palliative Care. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Monday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 19 at 10:00 a.m. from The Cathedral of The Most Holy Redeemer, Mount Bernard Avenue with Father Edward Terry officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association.
