Dean Lavallee
June 19, 1970 – September 25, 2023
It is with our deepest sorrow and broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing, on September 25, 2023 of our beloved father, husband, son, brother, uncle and friend, Dean Lavallee at the age of 53.
For all those who knew Dean, knew that his family was the most important part of his life. Carole who was the love of his life, his favorite 6 wheeler passenger, his rock, his confidante. His two handsome sons, who will have his memory engraved in their hearts forever. Michael, who followed in his footsteps, who he taught to be a better fisherman than himself. His son André who he constantly bragged about, because he was the teacher in the family. And let’s not forget the new love of his life, his puppy Aurora.
Dean was known from coast to coast. He fished on the Silver Condor since he was a teenager. If you didn’t know him, you certainly heard of him. He left a mark on everyone he met, from his generosity to his contagious smile. Anyone who met him, will always remember the kind-hearted man that he was.
Leaving to mourn with beautiful memories, his spouse Carole; his sons Michael and André, his father Andrew; his sister Sandie; his nephews Khalil, Dylan, Nick, Keith, Danny and Liam; his nieces Jessie and Ellie; his parents-in-law Patrick and Bryde and his sisters-in-law Diana (Jim), Melissa (Jason); his brother-in-law Colin (Donna) and his aunts, uncles and cousins. And let’s not forget all the fishing community.
Dean was predeceased by his mother Emma, his brother Ronnie, his nephew Rayen and his grandparents.
We would like to take a moment to thank the Coast Guard and the search and rescue teams who brought everyone home. We will be forever grateful.
To honour the lives lost and their final journey home, a joint funeral will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2023 from Notre Dame de Lourdes. at 1:00 pm.
Until we meet again.
