It is with broken hearts that the family of Yves Jones announce his passing on September 25, 2023 at the age of 65. Yves was born and raised on the rock in Lourdes de Blanc Sablon, and spent 40 years on the Silver Condor doing what he loved – fishing. When he wasn’t on the water, he could be found in his shed, where everyone, young and old was welcome.

His devoted children: Jackie (Neil), Angela (Kurby), Jacinthe (Charles), Paul (Sandra), Joey (Erica) and his most precious jewels, his grandchildren: Kameron, Kolin, Julian, Rebecca, Mylie, Kate, Sydney, Brianna, Holden, Olivia, Taylor, Jacob and Jaya.He will be greatly missed by his siblings: Michelle (Harold), Linda, Gaby (Annette), Julien (Anita -deceased), Harold (Caroline), Guy (Anita), Doris (Doug) and Bobby (Charlene), nieces and nephews. His mother-in-law Maryann and the Burke family, and a large circle of extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his father Basille, his mother Bertha, sister Marie-Claire and Marie-Blanche, brother Eric and father-in-law Clarence Burke. Yves was a hard-working and simple man who enjoyed life, loved his family and was always ready to lend a helping hand.
A special thank you to both the Canadian Coast Guard Search and Rescue Unit and his fellow fishing community. He will be forever loved and sadly missed.
