It is with great sadness that the family of the late Brenda Jessie Anderson announce her passing on Friday, September 29, 2023 at the Health Science Centre in St. John’s at the age of 66 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Freeman Anderson; sons: Danny (Becky) and Jake (Krista); grandchildren: Jasmine and Jay; great-grandson James; sisters: Dora, Bernice, Mary Jane (Eph), Ida (Bill), Dallas, Audrey, Gladys (Emmanuel), Lisa (Jeremy) and Cora (Tony); brothers: Walt (Linda), Bob (Violet), Reg (Gail), Edward (Vicki), Sam (Wanda) and Ricky (Sharlen); sister-in-law Marge; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was predeceased by her parents Reginald and Mary MacDonald, brother Keith, brothers-in-law Cyril, Cecil, Charlie and Doug.

Brenda was known for her beautiful blue eyes and her smile that could light up the room. She treasured her two boys and always made sure they were safe and sound. She was known to be a hard worker with a very loving, soft heart. She started working at the fish plant at the young age of 16 up until her passing. Brenda was a loyal friend and was often referred to as the glue that kept the family connected.

Visitation will be held on Monday and Tuesday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. from St. john the Evangelist Anglican Church in Burgeo from where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 4 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Esie Rose officiating. Interment to follow at the Burgeo Community Cemetery.
