It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of George Michael King, of Corner Brook on October 1, 2023 at the Western Corner Brook Long Term Care.

George was born on March 1, 1932, to James and Margaret (Power) Eldridge.

George is survived by his 3 daughters, Margaret (Roy) Hillier of Fredericton, New Brunswick, Michelle (Stephen) Otis of Sussex, New Brunswick, Dee King, Massey Drive, Newfoundland, 4 sons, Ray of Corner Brook, George Jr. of Curling, Newfoundland, Clayton of Toronto, Ontario, David (Michelle) of Lincoln, New Brunswick.

George is survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

George is survived by his sister Alice of Orangeville, Ontario, brothers, Ken (Madonna) King, Pasadena, Newfoundland and Ed (Mary) of Corner Brook, Newfoundland.

George also is survived by sisters-in-law Florence King, Corner Brook, Newfoundland, Bernice Rowsell of Curling, Newfoundland and Julia (Ralph) Morey of Corner Brook, Newfoundland.

Along with his parents George was predeceased by his loving wife Doris King, children Doreen, Anthony (Tony), Randell (Randy) King and Michael King.

A private graveside service will be held at Mount Patricia Cemetery.
