It is with great sadness that the family of the late Doris (Dos) Dwyer announce her peaceful passing on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Corner Brook Long Term Care at the age of 89 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are, son-in-law John Laing; sisters, Jean McGinn, Joyce Fitzgerald (Eric), Barbara Caines and Gloria Robertson (Jerry); brother Ronald Batten (Verna); special niece Elaine Dwyer; as well a many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.  She is predeceased by her husband William (Bill), daughter Judy, parents Samuel and May Batten, sisters Ruth Patten, Carrie Watton, Marguerite Batten; brother Samuel Batten; brothers and sisters-in-law: Jack McGinn, Tom Caines, Max Patten, Reg Watton, Marina Batten-House, Marina Batten Dingwell, as well as brothers and sisters-in-law from the Dwyer family.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 5^th at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home Chapel, St. Marks Avenue on Friday, October 6^th at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Tanya White officiating. The interment will follow at Mt. Patricia cemetery. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
