Obituary of Michel Gabriel
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joseph “Michel” Gabriel announce his passing at home on October 15th, 2023, in Sheshatshiu, NL at the age of 67 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife: Helen; his children: stepson Benjamin, Derek, Francesca, Joachim, Adelle, Joanlynn(Cory), Charles and Joshua; his grandchildren: Kansas, Jordyn, Derek Jr, Jody, Sasha, Gabriel, Piercy, Mason, Cedric, Ava, Mya, Cory Jr, Mary May, Dulcie, Mishen, Hunter and Cherish: his great grandchildren: Colleen and Finn. Also leaving to mourn are his brothers: Rene, Jerome, and Matthew; his sisters: Francoise, Linda, Adeline, Lina and Imelda.
Michel was predeceased by his parents: Charles and Marie Reine Gabriel: his son: Peter Paul; his granddaughters: Mary Ann, Azalea and Uapukun; and his great granddaughter: Everly.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 17th, 2023 at Fillatre’s Funeral Home in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Visitation will also take place on Wednesday, October 18th, 2023, at 17 Shimun Street in Sheshatshiu, NL starting at 4:00 pm.
A funeral service will be held at the Roman Catholic Church in Sheshatshiu, NL on Thursday, October 19th, 2023, with Father Joe officiating. Interment to follow at St Joseph Cemetery in Sheshatshiu, NL.
