It is with great sadness that the family of the late Maisie Park announce her passing on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Western Long Term Care Home in Corner Brook at the age of 80 years. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Lorraine (Darryl) Quibell, Ernie, Dwayne, Robbie (Lori), Jonathan, Amanda (Geoffy-Boy Sullivan); grandchildren: Geoff and Christine Quibell, Amanda Moore, Christian, Krista and Katelyn Pawley, Bryn and Sienna Webster, and Lexie Sullivan, as well as all of her great-grandchildren. Also left to mourn are her siblings: Marjorie Gaulton, Bernard Park, Berttie, as well as her last living uncle, Uncle Wally.

Maisie was predeceased by her parents, John and Amelia Park of McIver’s.

Mom was known for her exceptional talent for playing the accordion. She was requested by many talented musicians to perform her love of music. No one could compare with mom’s home cooking. Mom was always delighted to be cooking delicious meals for her family and friends. She made great desserts but was always known for her coconut cream pies. She never hesitated to make desserts or meals for someone in need. Mom’s favorite things to do were decorating the home, knitting, crafting, baking, cooking, dancing, picking blueberries, laughing, and having a great time with friends and family. She was a devoted mom.

Visitation will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Saturday, October 21^st from the hours of 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 22^nd at 2:00pm from Fillatre's Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Terry Loder officiating. Interment to take place at the Anglican Cemetery in McIver’s.

As expressions of sympathy, flowers will be graciously accepted, or donations may be made to The Children’s Wish Foundation.
