It is with great sadness that the family of Edward Dobbin announce his peaceful passing on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at the Western Long Term Care Palliative Care Unit in Corner Brook while in his 78^th year. He leaves to mourn his wife: Theresa and sons: Paul (Tamara) and Sean. Also mourning him are his grandchildren: Brandon (Tamara), Nathan, Kyle, Kevin (Amber), Brody, and Alesha, as well as his great-grandchildren: Alex, Jackson, Cole, Ava, and Brayden. Edward is survived by his sisters: Marian (Rex), Debbie (Ray); sisters-in-law: Isabelle, Geraldine (Wes), and Margie, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Edward was predeceased by his parents: William and Elizabeth Dobbin; sisters: Dorita and Paulette; and brother David.

Edward was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Curling Lions Club for many years.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff at Westmount Estates, the Renal Care unit at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, and the staff at the Western Long Term Care Palliative Care Unit for the care and compassion shown to Edward and his family.

Visitations will take place at Fillatre Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Thursday, October 26^th from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9pm. A funeral service will take place on Friday, October 27^th at 10:30am from Sacred Heart Parish, 469 Curling Street with Father Lee Lainey officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. Keeping with Edward’s wishes, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sacred Heart Parish in Curling.
