January 26 1973 - October 24 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Carolann Grace Janes at Western Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, October 24^th, 2023 at the age of 50 years. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories, her spouse of 31 years Gordon Park. Her beloved children Brooklynn Janes (Josh), Alisha Janes, Courtney Janes, and Brady Janes. Her grandchildren Blake George and Shea George; Sisters Charlene Janes, Tracy Janes (Todd) and Amanda Crossley; brothers, Wayne Bennett and Jeff Jones; as well as her nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Special thanks to Harvey Seaward and Tracy Randell, and her very close friend Gary Kennedy.

Carolann was a real social butterfly, she possessed a cheerful, carefree spirit and she always loved to crack a joke and make people laugh.  She is predeceased by her mother Kay Janes, father Wayne Bennett, brothers Dean Janes, Sean Janes, and sister Jackie Janes. Carolann will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

Cremation has take place. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Saturday, October 28^th from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. There will be no formal service at this time.

My life's journey ended early,
The path I chose was short.
You all tried your best to change it,
But in the end it was for me to sort.

I know I caused you sadness,

But I was captured by these demons,
They wouldn't set me free again.

They took away my freedom,

And when they got their hooks in,
You could hear it in my voice.

There were times I tried to fight them,
There was a time I nearly won,
But they came back and overpowered me,
I had nowhere left to run.

I haven't really left you guys, 
I am closer than you know,
I will be the whisper in the wind,
I will be everywhere you go.

One day you will all forgive me
One day you will understand
And when your time on earth is done
I will be waiting to take your hand.
