March 8, 1933 – October 28, 2023
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Linda Pearl Vincent, announce her passing at Western Health Palliative Care Unit, on October 28, 2023, at 90 years of age.
Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her 4 children, Ron (Joyce), Wanda (Clarence) Buckle, Elaine O’Keefe, Sherry (Derek) Holwell; 7 grandchildren, Travis Vincent (Nora), Trent (Denise) Vincent, Tyrone (Marigold) Buckle, Scott (Alyssa) Buckle, Krista (Corey) Codner, Holly Holwell (Randy), Jeff (Natasha) Holwell; 11 great-grandchildren, Liam, Elise, Jesse, Brody, Rylee, Xavier, Lucas, Kaiden, Dominic, Jase and Jada; sisters, Vera (Max) McCabe, Yvonne Heath; brothers-in-law, Carl Vincent, Reginald Pritchard; sister-in-law, Norma Vincent, plus a large number of nieces, nephews and friends.
Linda is predeceased by her beloved husband of 67 years, Herbert Vincent; son-in-law, Jerry O’Keefe; parents, Edmund and Effie Heath; 4 sisters, Margaret Young, Winnie Oxford, Bride Heath, Leah Pritchard; 3 brothers, Harold Heath, Ralph Heath, Tony Heath; brothers-in-law, George Vincent, Clyde Vincent, Paul Young, Elihu Oxford; sisters-in-law, Ida Vincent and June Vincent.
Linda was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Adored by family and friends alike, she loved life and enjoyed so much, her times spent with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to laugh, have fun, and was willing to jump on board to try just about anything. For anyone who knew her, you could find her and Elaine on a Thursday night at Jungle Jim’s for their weekly steakamania.
The family expresses their sincere gratitude to Dr. Lafferty, and staff at Western Heath Palliative Care Unit, for their exceptional care and compassion during Mom’s brief illness.
Gifts and flowers will be gratefully accepted, financial donations as an expression of sympathy may be made to The Salvation Army Citadel, Clarence Street.
Visitation will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, St. Mark’s Avenue, from 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 7:00 - 9:00 PM on Tuesday, October 31st. The funeral service will be held at The Salvation Army Citadel, Clarence Street at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 1st.
Interment will follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery.
