Florence Elizabeth BATT York Harbour, NL June 8, 1919 - March 22, 2010 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Florence Elizabeth Batt announce her passing on Monday, March 22nd, 2010 at the J.I. O’Connell Centre, Corner Brook in her 91st year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, children: Raymond (Hazel), York Harbour and William (Marilyn), Newmarket, ON; step-daughters: Ida Hall (Mike), Greenwood, NS and Hattie McWilliams, Mississauga, ON; grandchildren: Jennifer and Andrew; step-grandchildren: Gary, Pauline, Robert, Pamela, David, Laura and Cathy; brother Albert Wheeler (Annie) and sister Mildred Humber (Donald); sisters-in-law: Mona Wheeler and Ruby Wheeler, York Hr, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by husband Alfred (2004); sisters: Melena, Irene, Jessie, Eliza and Annie; brothers: Fred and Harold. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling St.on Tuesday, 7-9 p.m., and Wednesday between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place at St. Ambrose Anglican Church in John’s Beach on Thursday, March 25th at 2:00 pm. Rev. Nellie Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at the Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to St. Ambrose Anglican Church.
