Obituary of Stella Hopkins

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Stella Janette Compton announce her passing on November 5^th, 2023, at the Labrador Health Centre, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL at the age of 94 years.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sons: Wilburn, Sterling (Jackie), Roy (Salina), Allister (Dale), Josh (Esther), Jesse (Bonnie); and daughter: Elaine (Brendan); and her brother: Norman Randell.  Also leaving to mourn are her grandchildren: Ena (Tom), Keon (Jessica), Brian (Yolanda), Adriene (Wally), Alfreda (Chad), Judy, Tracey (Glenn), Jackie (Scott), Francis (Allison), Ashley (Owen), Angela (Danny), Mark, Lester, Jeremy, Garrett, Lenney, Rhonda, Jesse, Leo, Sabrina, Diane, Felicia, Tiffany, Gillian (Donovan) and Brianna (Sam); as well as a large circle of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other extended relatives and friends.

Stella was predeceased by her first husband: Melem Compton; her second husband: Lloyde Hopkins; her parents: Mark and Lucy Randell; her brothers: Alfred Tucker and Darius; her son: Clay Compton; her daughters: Cassie Weir, Roxie Cull and Peggie Randell; and her grandson: Joshua.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at 2:00 pm. from the Pentecostal Church in Englee, NL with Pastor Junior Andrew officiating. Interment to follow at the Pentecostal Cemetery.
