GILBERT ROSS “GOFF” BUTLER Corner Brook, NL March 23, 1946 - March 26, 2010 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gilbert Ross “Goff” Butler announce his passing on Friday, March 26, 2010 at the age of 64 years, surrounded by his loving family, in the Palliative Care Unit of Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his best friend and loving wife of 38 years, Mary (nee Dwyer); his son, Jamie; daughter, Darlene (Dave) and precious granddaughter, Madison; brothers, Bryce (Gladys) and Chesley (Doris), mother-in-law Lorna Dwyer, sisters and brothers-in-law, Florence (Rick), Louise (Doug), Bernice (Tony), Bill (Anne), John, Greg (Sharon), Debbie (Lindsey), as well as a large number of nieces, nephews and a wide circle of friends who loved him dearly. He was predeceased by his parents, Chesley and Minnie (Nee Keel) Butler and his father-in-law Jim Dwyer. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Monday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, March 30 at 2:00 p.m. from Humber United Church, Clarence Street with Rev. Kathy Brett officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, family flowers only, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
