Don was an auto mechanic for most of his adult like. He loved the outdoors and hunting with his best buddy and brother-in-law Eric Parsons. His Church of St. Mary the Virgin was a big part of his life and he held many offices throughout the years. He was a man of few words and was never heard to complain with all the health issues he had. In his younger years he took flying lessons and loved to fly.
The family would like to thank the Doctors who took care of him over the years. His oncologist Dr. Dawn Armstrong, his cardiologist Dr. Sean Connors, his dermatologist Dr. Joshua Mercer and his family physician Dr. Sheldon Butt. Thank you to the Doctors and Nurses at the Palliative Care unit for the compassion and care they give patients and their family. Heartfelt thanks to his family and neighbours who were always there to lend a helping hand, it was much appreciated. Thank you to his Church family for their prayers and concern.
