Chris was an individual force who was a husband, a son, a brother, a nephew, a cousin and a dear friend to many. He was known for his impeccable skills as one of the best truck drivers, who always delivered. He was kind, caring, and clever. He moved through the world making it brighter and better for others. While he was big and strong in presence and stature, he was good humoured and loved to laugh. He had a great love of music, whether listening or making his own with his many instruments.
After living away from home for many years he and Ellen returned several years before he was diagnosed with his illness to live out his final days where he had been happiest, near family and friends. His big heart and smile will be remembered fondly by those who knew and loved him.
Special thanks to the many family, friends, physicians and care workers who supported and cared for him. Also to Scott & Brenda Gould, and the team at Scott’s Transport, for their unending support of Chris and Ellen. In keeping with his wishes aquamation will take place. There will be no visitation or funeral service.
Chris felt that the betterment of children’s lives and health in our province involved education at an early age on how a healthy diet can help to prevent chronic disease. As such, donations may be made to the Kids Eat Smart Foundation NL. https://www.kidseatsmart.ca/donate-now/
