PARSONS John Joseph Corner Brook, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Parsons announce his peaceful passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Monday, February 28th, 2005, in his 97th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 61 years, Julia (nee Ezekiel), sons: John (Rebecca), Corner Brook, Sam (Amy), Toronto, ON, Jerry (Peggy), Corner Brook; one daughter Peggy (Clarence) Snooks, Mt. Moriah; sisters: Maude Berkshire and Mary Hickey, Pasadena; sister-in-law Mary Philippa Ezekiel (Presentation Convent, St. John's, NL); brothers-in-law: William Ezekiel and Frank Downey; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by parents John and Sarah Parsons, brother Leo Parsons, sisters Ida Berkshire, Laura Hepditch, Annie Downey, brothers-in-law Alfred Berkshire, John Hepditch, Frank Berkshire, Ben Brown, Patrick Hickey and Philip Ezekiel, and mother & father-in-law Sam and Margaret Ezekiel. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 2nd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue. The Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, March 3rd at 10:30 a.m. from the Most Holy Redeemer Cathedral, Mount Bernard Avenue, Father Edwin Gale officiating, interment to follow at Mount Patricia Receiving Chapel. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Most Holy Redeemer Memorial Fund.
