Margaret Ann Madore Mother, Grandmother, Godmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend to anyone she met. Born in Stephenville Crossing, NL November 6, 1949 – January 3, 2018 Margaret Ann Madore, aged 68, died peacefully in her sleep in Stephenville Crossing on January 3, 2018. After many years of struggle with her illnesses, God decided it was time for her to join him in Heaven. She is now in peace with her Mom, Dad, brothers and sisters. I know that she is happy; I also know that she will miss us all. My Mom was an outstanding Mother/woman of many traits; she loved life and everything it brought. She loved Newfoundland, the people, the culture but most of all her family and friends. She spent her life taking care of everyone around her, she did not have much but what she had, she would have given to anyone who needed it and asked for nothing in return. She had no malice, accepted and forgave everyone who entered her life. There are many types of people in this world; my Mom was a giver, her love, her friendship, her trust and most of all, herself. She grew up in Stephenville Crossing, Newfoundland surrounded by a huge family, where she learned how to love and nurture. She always spoke about her life as a child, those are some of the stories I will miss the most. She moved to Toronto as young adult and adjusted to life in the big city. In the later part her life, she finished High School and College, something she was very proud of. Shortly after I joined the Military, she decided to return home to the rock. Where she spent the last part of her journey with us meeting and re-connecting with family and friends. She leaves behind, 2 Sons, Steve and Chris, 1 Daughter in-law Sandra, 2 Granddaughters, Brittany and Hope, brothers, sisters, a goddaughter, many nephews and nieces, other family and many, many friends. My Mom would like to thank her sister Irene and her brother Mike for always being there for her. She spent the last 10 years of her life living at the Emile House in the Crossing where she became beyond life friends with Teddy and Shirley. She would also like to thank Mary-Lou for her friendship and on-going support. She was very found of all her workers who her helped tremendously near the end, primarily Amanda. The funeral service for Margaret Ann will be on Friday, 17 August 2018, in Stephenville Crossing, Newfoundland. The celebration of her life with us will start at 10:00 a.m. at the Assumption Parish (Catholic Church). Post Office Box 160, Stephenville Crossing, NL A0N 2C0. The cemetery service will follow at the RC Cemetery in the Crossing. Donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association in my mom’s name.
