It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ronald Delaney announce his passing on Monday, December 18, 2023 at the Western Long Term Care, Palliative Care Unit at the age of 84 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Debbie (Steve), Teena, Basil and Gwen (Jimmy); 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters and brothers: Ethel (Curtis) Barnes, Anne Simms, Rhodena Delaney (Walter Lewis), Joseph Delaney, Gloria Turner and George Delaney (Sharon); brother-in-law Tim Newman; special aunt Mercedes Wells; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Bertha and Joseph Delaney, brothers Joseph and Ben, sisters Mona, Theresa and Leona, brothers-in-law Jim Simms, Wade Turner, Ludrick Crane and Eugene McCarthy.

A special mention to Lanes Retirement for their care and compassion during his stay there. A special thank you to the nurses and Dr. Miller at Western Memorial Regional Hospital Emergency Department and the nurses at the Palliative Care Unit for such special care during his brief stay.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 23 at 2:30 p.m. from Fillaytre's Funeral Chapel, 4 St. Mark's Avenue. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery.
