It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bertha Davis announce her passing on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Western Long Term Care, Palliative Care Unit at the age of 78 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Jacqui Brodhagen, LeAnne (Bill) Cooper, Shawn (Maxine) Sparkes, and their Father Howard Sparkes; grandchildren, Marcus (Taylor) Cooper, Shawna and Keisha Brodhagen, Mikayla Sparkes (Jordan), Riley and Abigail Sparkes; great grandchildren, Zendaya Balon and Carter Cooper; sisters Pearl Eirich, Violet Davis; brothers Albert (Kim) Davis and Lester (Maisie) Davis; life long friend of 62 years, Marie Hoyles; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her parents Benjamin and Hazel Davis; sisters Sadie Squire and Sheila Davis, brothers Eugene and Sidney Davis.
Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Friday, December 22nd from 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 23rd at 11:00 A.M. from Fillatre’s Funeral Home Chapel, St. Marks Avenue with Reverend Jocelyn Cook officiating. Interment to take place at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
