Obituary of Betty Broomfield
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Betty Millicent Broomfield, nee Pottle, announce her passing on December 25th, 2023 at Long-Term Care, Labrador Health Centre, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL at the age of 72 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband: Samuel; her children: Mark (Suzette) Broomfield, Lynn (Nick) Hickey, and Blair (Lisa Peckford); grandchildren: Brady (Breanne), Samantha, Matthew, and Sommer; brother: Walter Pottle; and sister: Irene Burden (Clem); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Betty was predeceased by her father: William Pottle; mother: Dorothy Pottle (Cove); brothers: Richard (Dick) Pottle, Mervin Pottle, and Cyril Pottle; her sisters: Annie Saunders and Rachel Best.
Visitations will take place on Thursday, December 28th, 2023 at Fillatres Funeral Home, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL from the hours of 2:00 to 4:00pm and from 7:00 to 9:00pm.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 29th, 2023 from the Moravian Church, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL at 2:00pm with Dietrich Holeiter officiating. Interment to follow at the Moravian Church cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Broomfield family.
