Formerly of Roddickton, NL

Passed peacefully away on Thursday, December 28, 2023, Delphina Jeanette Cassell at Corner Brook Long Term Care at the age of 93 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Ivan (Alfreda), Leamond (Linda), Emily (Leamon) Adams, Ruth (René) Mouland, Vivian (Raymond) Noble, Velma (John) VanWinkle and Scott (Michelle); grandchildren: Janice, Jeanette, Jennifer, Michelle, Elizabeth, Shawn, Trina, Jeremy, Jessica, Sonya, Sarah, Ashley and Amy; 21 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Mae Pittman; special niece Lillian Langford; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Seymour Cassell, parents John and Mable Pollard, brothers Stanley and Reuben, step-sister Mary and step-brothers Peter and Paul.

Visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Tuesday, January 2 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from Fillatre’s Funeral Chapel, St. Mark’s Avenue with Pastor Jeffrey White officiating. Interment to follow at the Pentecostal Section of the Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery, Wights Road.  As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Pallbearers will be Ivan Cassell, Leamond Cassell, Scott Cassell, Raymond Noble, John VanWinkle and Dylan Noble.
