Obituary of Frederick Hope

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Frederick Franklin Hope announce his passing on December 30, 2023, at the Labrador Health Centre in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL at the age of 74 years.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife: Rose; children: Deaon (Luella) and Robert; grandchildren: Timothy and Ava; brother: Jordan (Ruth); sisters: Gloria Freedman and Marcella (Joe) Murphy. Also leaving to mourn are sister in laws: Ruby Michelin (Phil), Bessie Humby (Ray), Violet Manuel (Paul), Geraldine Hoskins (Colin), Juanita Pilgrim (Boyd), Camella Andrews (Tony); brothers in law: Roy (Helen) Manuel and Percy (Josephine) Manuel; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Frederick was predeceased by his parents: Jenson and Laurie Hope; and siblings: Josie Hope, Blanche (Chesley) Gear, Judy King, Geraldine (Wilfred) Goudie, and Ivan Hope. Also predeceased by his parents in law: Roland and Margaret Manuel; sister-in-law: Priscella Manuel, Minnie Pardy (Bruce) and  Audrey Blake: and brother-in-law: Don Manuel.

As per Fred’s wishes cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held at a later date.
