Mary Decker

Passed away peacefully at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Sunday, Dec.31st surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her son John, parents Daniel & Margaret Burton, in laws John; Helen Decker. Leaving to mourn her husband of 59 years Gilbert, Daughters Jackie (Bill) Butt, Drusilla (Kevin) Ralph, sons Jimmy (Caroline) Decker, Peter (Nathalie) Decker, Brothers Absalom (Evelyn), Ron (Emily), Manuel (Donna), Eli (Juanita), Leighton (Mary), Leander (Marilyn), David (Sharon), Frazer. Sisters Joan (Willmore), Tassie (Herman), Debbie (Larry), Isabel (Brian), Tina (Peter), Lorraine (Mark), Bonnie (Larry), Josey (Norman), Emmie (Jean-Marc) and grandchildren: Hilary (Evan), Tyler (Amber), Roman, Sikora, Joshua, Max (Sarah), Nathan (Laila), Jasmine, and Rebecca. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, Jan.4th at St. Michael’s and All Angels Anglican Church, Pollards Point at 3:00pm.

Mary loved her family dearly and especially loved Christmas which was her favorite time of the year. Anyone that knew her knew her children and grandchildren were the center of her life and that’s all that ever mattered to her. She had a wide circle of family and friends and will be missed dearly.

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Western Memorial Regional Hospital. Special thank you to the staff of the palliative care unit for their daily compassion and kindness during this difficult time.
