A. Fiona Webb (née MacRae) Born January 18, 1963 (age 60) in Broxburn, Scotland, Fiona went home to be with her Lord & Saviour on January 3, 2024. Daughter of Dr. Andrew MacRae (deceased) and Jean MacRae of Wolfville, NS.
Raised and educated in Dundee & Glasgow, at 17, with a heavy heart she left her native Scotland and followed her parents & brother to start a new life in Wolfville, NS, Canada.
Shortly after emigrating, life became brighter as Fiona met Greg, who was a student at Acadia University; a few years later they were married on campus at the Manning Memorial Chapel. They spent their life together in Halifax/Dartmouth/Lr. Sackville, NS; (1985-95), Moose Jaw, SK (1995-99); Pasadena, NL, 1999-current)
Fiona loved cooking & entertaining; playing her beloved piano; painting; knitting; traveling & organizing trips to Europe/Caribbean with Greg & friends. She was a member of Corner Brook Baptist and her faith was always forefront in her life. Fiona had great pleasure spending time with her children and their families which included annual Canada day weekends renting AirBnB’s in various towns in Nfld and Thanksgivings in Wolfville, NS. She worked for TD bank as a mortgage specialist till her retirement in Dec 2022.
Left to morn is husband Greg with 38 years of marriage; her son Bruce (Amanda); daughters Jana (Andrew); Joy (Thomas). Grandchildren; Willow & William. Mother, Jean MacRae; Brother, Findlay MacRae (Julie) Coldbrook, NS;
Sister in laws Elaine Whelan (Paul), Pasadena; Janice (Scott) Gaudet, Stephenville, nephews & niece, Andrew, Calum, Jane, Marc, Ian, Gregory.
The funeral service will take place from Corner Brook Baptist Church, O'Connell Drive on Monday, January 8, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Mitchel Foley officiating. Interment at a later date.
