To all the Davis Family, extended family and friends of Rex,
There are no words to comfort you at this time. But in time the memories are the most comforting, once the raw grief passes just a little. You will find yourself crying, laughing and smiling at all the memories. I will always cherish my memories of him as a small girl growing up not too far from him when he lived on Fox Point to recent times visiting home, Hampden. The most memorable moment was when visiting home, I believe 2019, myself, John (my other half) Rex and Rox went for a beautiful quad ride. Started out a beautiful day, then one quad broke down, so I made John get on with Rex, as he was the one towing. I told Rox she was steering on the quad with me if they all wanted to get home alive. LOL. I wasnt overly bold enough to do that. I don't have the quad driving confidence and/or experience, as you would have living and driving them like people home. Not for me in that situation. Lol. As it goes we were doing well and then a rain storm hit on the way back. Oh boy it was trip to remember. We get back to the house safe and sound but soaked. Here was Rex calm as anything says go on now dry up. Rox got us all set up to change into dry clothes and Rex had a Lamb's with ice and mix already for everybody to cheers to the days adventure. His laugh and smiles and story about the days trip will be always be with John and I. We've had more days together but that day will stand out for a lifetime. He was always so calm and loved our company whenever we came home for a visit. It was/is a blessing to have these memories of such sweet sweet person. Rex we loved every moment we got to have together, nothing but laughs. Rox, I am sure you remember that day. She keep saying to me on the quad, like Johnny won't come back here no more. Oh the laughs we had that day! Rex keep saying to John, now Johnny, we will alright, nuttin' tall, appens by'e. Now you'll come back from da Mainland again won't ya? And then he laughed and big old grin on face when we would stop for breaks, not to over heat the quad he was driving. Rox and I were laughing off course, the bruts we can be. Poor John's face.
Rox, Keira and Roddy, you were truly blessed. Sending our love to you all. To Clarence, Leah and all the rest of the family and friends who loved Rex as much as we do, we send you our loving thoughts across the miles. I will raise a glass of Lamb's to you my friend and all the memories I (we) have. You will be missed.
Love
Peggy & Johnny
