It is with great sadness that the family of the late Carol Anne Peddle announce her passing on Friday, January 12, 2024 at the Western Long Term Care, Palliative Care Unit at the age of 79 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Greg (Lois Periera-Peddle), Karen Reid (Michael), Thomas (Elizabeth Campbell) and Richard (Stephanie); grandson: Brandon Peddle (Shelly Ilott); siblings: Frances Jones (Gordon), Elizabeth Mealey, Patricia Kavanagh (Paul); brothers and sisters-in-law: Elizabeth Parsons (Junior), Leo Peddle, William Peddle (Paula), Carla Scott (Gordon), Agnes Jones, Rhoda Peddle and Nina Martin Peddle as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Carol Anne was predeceased by her husband of 60 years James Peddle; her parents: Thomas and Gladys Mealey; grandson: Andrew Periera-Babb; brothers: Douglas and David Mealey; brothers and sisters-in-law: Gerard Peddle, Robert Peddle, Joan Brake, Catherine (Byron) Oldford, Mary Hynes and Thomas Peddle.

As per the family’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends and family may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Monday, January 15th from the hours of 7-9pm. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, January 16th at 1:30pm from Fillatre’s Funeral Home Chapel, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue with Father Lee Lainey officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer Society.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Westmount Estates for their care towards mom, and to the angels who cared for her while in Palliative Care.
